EDUCATION & ACADEMICS

“Little Wonder’s” is a program designed to expose more people to Horsin’ Around and Equine Assisted Activities.  Among our group is:  Brownie, a miniature horse; Pete and Billy, Miniature Mediterranean Donkey’s; Charlotte, Miniature Potbelly Pig; and Freckles and Lola, Bunny.  By traveling to schools, rehabilitation centers and camps we are able to offer an unique interactive educational experience in an exciting atmosphere.  Children experience hands on learning in science, math, geography, and history through the equine perspective.

LITERACY

The literacy component of Little Wonder’s provides the opportunity for children to expand their reading abilities by reading to our attentive and lovable minis.  Using our specially selected books, students will discover that the main character of each book, a miniature donkey, has a lot to teach about friendship, acceptance, character, and determination.

THERAPEUTIC PARTNERS

Because of their small size, our minis are perfect therapeutic partners for those working towards psychological and emotional well-being. Equine Assisted Activities are used to promote safety, teamwork, trust, respect, communication, acceptance, dependability and responsibility. Our minis can partner with children, at-risk youth, or adults to create a memorable learning experience like no other.

AMBASSADORS

The Minis also act as ambassadors of Horsin’ Around through participating in parades and making appearances at events.
